James grew up in the Real Estate business. Starting as a child emptying trash cans, to a teenager delivering yard signs, James learned the Real Estate business from the ground up as he worked for his parent's company. After graduation from Central Michigan University in 1993, James earned his Real Estate License and began his sales career. In 1998, James and his wife decided to make "Up North" their permanant home and opened Bayside Real Estate in Elk Rapids. In 2002, Bayside moved their office to the Torch River Bridge, just doors down from where James had spent his childhood summers. In the Spring of 2022 Bayside expanded their business by adding another office, located on East Bay in Acme.
