Growing up in Lakeland, Florida I always knew I would be a Gator! I graduated from the University of Florida in 2006 with a deep connection to the Gainesville community. Throughout my college years, I made lifelong friends and relationships. I worked at the original Swamp Restaurant in college while earning my degree in Business Administration with a focus in Travel and Tourism. After graduation, I worked in the finance, personal loan, and mortgage refinance industries. In 2009, I married my best friend Briton. That same year, together with two partners we opened Embers Wood Grill, where Briton currently serves as Executive chef. At that same time, I was also working in the Energy Beverage Sales industry covering Gainesville, Tallahassee, and Ocala. Through our restaurant I have had the privilege to connect with many members of our Gainesville community. With these partnerships, I have had the opportunity to be involved in many local charity events and various organizations throughout Gainesville. Ronald McDonald’s Red Shoe Event, Beyond Bourbon, Build a House for a House Gingerbread Competition, Junior League, Iron Chef of Gainesville Taste of Home, Noche de Gala, Souper Fun Sunday Soup Competition, and Embers’ own Food and Wine Festival just to name a few. Briton and I have been blessed with two beautiful boys. As a new mom I joined MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) through my church and my children’s preschool. This was a great way to meet other new moms. I have made it a point to be involved in volunteering at my boys’ elementary school. Additionally, I have met so many amazing families through sports that we are involved in as well. Between family and friends around Gainesville, I really feel that I find someone I know everywhere I go. In the 20 years that I have lived in Gainesville I have witnessed the tremendous growth and watched Gainesville become one of the most desirable markets to live and work. The increase in the housing, collegiate, and job markets continue to be the driving forces. I own and manage multiple rental properties that I purchased through BHG Thomas Group in 2021. This is what sparked my interest to become involved in the real estate business. It is an exciting time to buy or sell a home in Gainesville.
